We are often buying gift cards from office stores to get the 5x spend and using credit card offers, but this adds a stack on top of it all. Slide offers the ability to load gift cards and make purchases on over 200 items. I’m sure I have lost gift cards or not spent the full value due to their being only dollars left on them, so this prevents it all. I’m not sure how much I would load on to slide as this is a work on progress, as I used it for purchase I knew I was going to make as a test.
I used a promotion from Chase on Office Depot to get 10% back on up to $80 so I bought a $200 gift card. There was a promotion from office depot which made the gift card not cost anything additional.
End result a $200 Visa gift card for $192 as well as 1000 chase points.
I then loaded my $200 gift card in slide where it immediately gave me 1% back or $2. I decided I wanted to try it out and order DoorDash which offers 2% back. My $30 meal ordered from DoorDash from slide took out $29.40. With the new promo, Slide gave me $5 back as the new promotion was spend $20 get $5 back. So now I have $177.60 left after having a $30 meal.
There are all sorts of stores that work with Slide and it is definitely worth taking a look at if you are looking to store some of those gift cards you have hanging around.
